Scott E. Smith, DPM, AACFAS - Biography

A Texas native, Dr. Smith was born and raised in Houston. He attended Texas A&M University where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in BioMedical Science. Dr. Smith then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated at the top of his class, Magnum Cum Laude. Dr. Smith received multiple academic scholarships and awards. He was an active member in the student government where he held such positions as Student Government President and President of the Practice Management Club.

After obtaining his doctorate in podiatry, Dr. Smith attended one of the top residency programs on the east coast, New York Methodist Hospital (member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System, affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College). Dr. Smith completed one of the most covenanted podiatric medicine and surgery three-year residencies. During his third year of residency, Dr. Smith served as Chief Resident. Through residency he completed multiple rotations such as Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, Pediatric and Adult Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Pathology, Radiology, Pain Management, and Microbiology Laboratory.

Dr. Smith is married and blessed with two sons. Dr. Smith enjoys spending his free time with family, hunting, fishing, snorkeling, and traveling with his wife.
