Brian E. De Yoe, DPM, FACFAS - Biography

A California native, Dr. De Yoe attended Pepperdine University with an academic scholarship. He received an undergraduate degree in sports medicine, a special interest of his. Dr. De Yoe then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. There he graduated with honors as well as received the Excellence in Podiatric Medicine Scholarship.
Following medical school, he completed a surgical residency at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston. This program is widely regarded as one of the top surgical residency programs in the nation. During the last year of his residency, Dr. De Yoe served as chief resident and was then awarded a one-year fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the ankle and foot. During his fellowship, he received additional training in microsurgery, arthroscopy, and advanced surgical reconstruction of both pediatric and adult deformities.
Dr. De Yoe joined the Podiatric Surgical Associates in 1998 after his training. While in private practice he serves as a clinical instructor of podiatric and family practice residents. He has authored several peer reviewed journal articles and text books, presented original research, as well as lectured at national and international surgical conferences. Dr. De Yoe is board certified in foot surgery and specialized certification in reconstructive surgery of the rear foot and ankle. His special interests include pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and ankle reconstruction.
Married, Dr. De Yoe enjoys golf, hunting, scuba diving, and traveling.
